Tetranema roseum | Mexican Foxglove

Tetranema roseum, commonly known as Mexican foxglove, is a compact, evergreen plant in the Plantaginaceae family. It features obovate, leathery leaves up to 15 cm long and produces clusters of trumpet-shaped, light purple flowers with paler throats, typically around 1.5 cm across. The plant has a bushy growth habit and can reach up to 20 cm in height.

This species is suitable for indoor cultivation, thriving in environments that can provide consistent warmth and humidity. Its compact size and preference for humid conditions make it an excellent candidate for terrariums or small indoor spaces.

How to care for your Tetranema -

Water:  Allow soil to dry out partially between waterings. Keep lightly moist during active growth but avoid saturated soil. Reduce watering during cooler months or periods of dormancy.

Light: They enjoy bright but indirect sunlight, direct sun can scorch the leaves.

Humidity: They love warmth and humidity, a bathroom or kitchen would be a perfect spot.

Temperature: They prefer warm temperatures about 18-24 degrees C.
